About Shotgun Histology
Shotgun Histology is a web-based project designed and narrated by John R. Minarcik, M.D, and dedicated to his former professor, Dr. Martin Swerdlow. It uses the Virtual Slidebox at the University of Iowa. These slides are remarkably similar (if not identical) to the slides that we have in lab, so I hope reviewing these brief clips will be beneficial to you.
The entire series covers over 90 slides. I have pulled out the slides that address the body systems covered in Anatomy & Physiology I. I'm presenting them in the order in which we cover the material in our class, which is slightly different than Dr. Minarcik's sequence. That's why it will occasionally sound like we're picking him up in the middle of a thought as he segues between slides.
